Objectives + Strategies + Tactics

This section provides an explanation for some of the objectives, strategies, and the tactics alongside them, that the clinic will use to effectively promote immunizations to students who attend IU Indianapolis as well as frequent the IU Campus.

Objectives are how we will measure the success of the marketing plan once it is implemented

Strategies address how objectives are to be achieved

Tactics are the specific actions, details, and activities that must occur in order for the strategy to succeed and the objective to be met

Objective 1

Boost vaccination rates for students by 30%

after marketing plans have been implemented, measuring from the beginning of the school

year and by the time the school year is over.

Strategy 1

Twice a month, set up a mobile clinic booth/space in a popular area on campus that can administer vaccines from a more accessible place for students.

Tactics

Arrange a booth in the campus center where many students can walk past and be able to engage with and get information about the clinic as well as receive vaccines. It will be a calm and inviting space with snacks, drinks, and even small gifts like gift cards or campus merch for students to have while they wait for a vaccine. They will then receive their vaccine in some sort of portable private booth.

Objective 2

Have 200 students sign up for text updates

from the clinic by the end of the school year

to be informed and reminded of when and

what health care is available at certain times.

Strategy 2

Create and post flyers around and near campus that advertise these text updates while also boosting awareness of our clinic as well as offering small incentives for those who receive vaccines and visit the clinic.

Tactics

Create flyer with a bright color and picture of the clinic and some sort of vaccination (something that we are marketing) and some information about Campus Health. This, along with a QR code that once scanned, will input information for the clinics “phone number” and allow the student to put their information in and sign up for a text thread/update.

Objective 3

Create 4 educational public workshops on campus at the start and by

the end of school year with a

goal of 80  student attendees

at each workshop.

Strategy 3

Promote workshops held on campus which can improve education and create awareness about vaccine benefits and safety as well as additional awareness about health care offered at Campus Health clinic through flyers around campus, text updates, and social media posts.

Tactics

Hold these workshops in free spaces like empty lecture halls or classrooms, on set days that have been advertised around campus and through text updates. There can be a different/specific theme and topic that each hour-long workshop will cover where employees or volunteers from the clinic can do a presentation with information on these topics as well as holding a Q&A portion of the workshop and advertising our text updates. These can also be collaborating with other health care professionals or professors who would have insight on these topics. There can be incentives like food offered or small gifts.
